Senior Minister - Rev. James Grady E. Shelton
Senior Minister Rev. James Grady E. Shelton came to New
Hope in August of 2008. Born in Austell, GA, Rev.Shelton
is married to Ellie, a talented music teacher,and they have
a son, Grady, who is 6 years old, and a baby daughter,
Belle. Rev. Shelton is a graduate of Atlanta Christian
College, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in music ministry
and a minor in Biblical Studies. He also has a Master of Arts
Degree in New Testament, with emphasis in preaching, from
Johnson Bible College. He completed his Master of Divinity Degree from McAfee School of
Theology this past May. He was ordained in 2002 and has been engaged in ministry since.
Before coming to New Hope, Rev. Shelton served as Minister of Worship at Maple View Church
of Christ in Bluefield, WV. We are so pleased to have this man of God leading us in our

Director of Music and Accompanist - Patsy Gaffney
On June 17, 2009, Patsy Gaffney joined our congregation as our Music
Director and Accompanist. Patsy is a resident of Lilburn and comes from
White Oak Baptist Church where she served as pianist. She is a gifted
pianist and writer of music. She loves directing the choir and loves creating
services which honor God. She has added so much to our worship
experience and we are blessed to have her!
Minister to Children and Youth - Rev. Tracia Salzer
New Hope is blessed to have Tracia as our minister to children and youth. Tracia hails from
Idaho and is a graduate (MDiv) of Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. She is an
Ordained Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and most recently served as an
Associate Minister at the Spirit of Joy Christian Church right here in Georgia. Tracia is a huge
fan of the Boise State Broncos, an accomplished baker of delicious foods, and a joy to serve
alongside.
Nursery Attendant - Chris Hussey
Leading the care of our precious babies and toddlers is Chris Hussey. Chris works part-time in
our nursery on the weekends, but also is employed during the week as a preschool teacher.
Chris, a mom of two teenagers, loves to care for our littlest ones and does a really great job.
Organist - Barry Coker
Barry has served as a volunteer organist for over 20 years. He has been faithful in his service
to our church. He also sings in our choir. Barry and his wife Barbara have 2 daughters, Beth
and Melissa.
New Hope is blessed to have Tracia as our minister to children and youth. Tracia hails from
