July 11th: Today is the last day at the Circle G Ranch. We ended the week by singing for the elderly at the Ambassador, a local nursing home here in Sidney. It was great for all who were there. Tonight is the Sock Hop for the youth and everyone is excited. Everyone dressed in 50's clothes and danced all night. We all had a great time. Afterward there were some tearful goodbyes because it will be a year before we see our Iowa friends again. But we know we will see them again. So we head out early tomorrow and pray for a safe trip home.

July 6th: Travel continued. We arrived in Sidney, Iowa safely. Thank You, Lord! We stopped by the church first and didn't see anyone. We went on to Ms. Darla's house and unpacked. We were greeted by a slew of our Iowa youth friends. We're looking forward to a great week!
July 5th: Seven of us departed from the Atlanta area this morning. Mollie, Dana, Hope, Mark, Zachary, Mr. Chuck, and Ms. Tammy. We made it to St. Louis by evening. We took the tram ride to the top of the Arch. As we were leaving, fireworks were going off over the swollen Mississippi River. It was a full day. We were very happy to settle into our hotel.
July 7th: The Circle G Ranch has opened for business! VBS has begun. We had 47 kids, 23 youth, and 10 adults participating today. Our lesson taught us to "Remember God" because He watches over us in our going out and our coming in.
July 8th: Today we had 56 kids, 27 youth, and 11 adults! Tremendous! Not only did we have a great time at VBS, but afterwards the youth participated in a local mission project where we cleaned and inventoried medical equipment that gets loaned to needy people. God is good!
July 10th: Another fun day at Vacation Bible School is followed by preparation for tonight. Then we hung out at Mrs. Darla's house and went swimming. Tonight is the performance. The week of hard work and fun and learning about God peaks tonight as we share what we have learned with the parents and community. And let me just tell you it was fantastic. Everyone showed up and sang beautifully. A special thank you to the Methodist church for hosting a cook-out before the show. And thank you to the Presbyterian Church for hosting the show and the reception following. Yet another great day on the Circle G Ranch.
July 12th: Well we hit the road this morning. We had an uneventful day of traveling. We did go through quite a few storms. But we weathered them well. Thank the Lord. We made it to our intended destination of Grand Rivers, Kentucky. We will head out in the morning and hopefully make it home in the early afternoon. (Some of us are even hoping to make it to the church in time to catch the end of the covered dish luncheon...lol). Hope to see you soon!
July 9th: Today there were 59 kids, 28 youth, and who knows how many adults. Fantabulus! As soon as VBS was over for the day, we headed to Omaha to visit the Henry Doorley Zoo and have dinner downtown at Spaghetti Works. There are a few more pictures added to our video of this field trip.
July 13th: Praise the Lord! We made it home safely! Thank God for a successful, safe trip. Make sure you come to church Sunday to hear about it! Thank you all for your prayers and your support. You are precious to us!
