Tracia’s Tidbits

Do you know how many people will go hungry tonight? Nearly a billion people!! And most of
these billion people are children. Jesus is clear in scripture. We are called to feed the
hungry, give drink to those who are thirsty, and clothe those who are naked. The youth
group has kicked off their campaign through World Visions’ 30 Hour Famine. They are
going to go without food, so that others may eat. We will fast for 30 hours straight. Yes
we will feel the effects of hunger, but in the end, we know we will be fed. Unfortunately,
many of those who are hungry have no clue how or where their next meal is coming from.

How can you help? Great question! First of all, PRAY for the youth and all of those who
are hungry. Prayer is very powerful and we can do mighty things by praying. Secondly, the
youth group is raising funds so that through World Vision, food can get to those who are
hungry and we can make an impact on our global food crisis. You can feed a child with only
$1 per day. Our goal as a group is to raise $3600. This will feed 10 children for an entire
year. If you would like to help, all the youth have collection envelopes and would be happy
to receive a donation from you.

Feb 19        CIRCUS TIME! This is open to all children and youth who would like to come.
Please RSVP to Pastor Tracia by Sunday, Feb 5th. We will attend the 3 p.m. show of the
Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. Please
have money for lunch and any souvenir you would like to purchase.
