Ministry Opportunities @ New Hope

New Hope Christian Church began as a community Sunday School which met under a brush arbor
made of oak trees. In the winter months, the Sunday School held its meetings in an old cotton house.
From this beginning, New Hope was founded in 1872 with 26 members. A log building was
constructed for use by the church.  Meetings were held once a month. In 1884, a new sanctuary was
built that remained in use until 1967. The present sanctuary was completed in 1967 and expanded
in 1972-73 and expanded again in 1997.

We are a diverse congregation who welcome all people into our fellowship.  Anyone who professes
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can become a member of New Hope, either by profession of faith
and baptism by immersion, or through transfer of membership from another congregation.

We offer many worship and fellowship opportunities for all age groups. Please join us for any of our
services. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our love of God with you.
